Rui obtained his PhD from the chemistry department of Tsinghua University in 2019. Afterwards he started his postdoctoral research on plasmonics and solar energy conversion in physics faculty of Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich. In 2024, he joined the Institute for Catalysis in Hokkaido University as a postdoctoral research fellow. In prof. Murayama’s group, his research field mainly focuses on the application of single-atom catalysts in the environmental remediation.
